The same garbage propaganda that it launched against Ukraine and Israel

The juggling of Spanish red-brownism with the Moroccan migratory invasion of Ceuta

These days I miss a figure like Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente to explain certain species to us.

The anti-Western propaganda that is poisoning a segment of the right-wing
'Red-brownism' and the axis of evil: after Moscow, Caracas and Tehran, will Pyongyang be next?

One species that should fascinate any political commentator is the so-called red-brownism, that cocktail of communism and fascism that today has regular spokespeople on some television programs despite not having a single representative in Congress. You can easily recognize the red-browns by their hatred of the West, the United States, Israel, NATO, and liberalism, which they blame for every evil imaginable, while at the same time showing understanding and even sympathy for dictatorships like Russia, Iran, communist China, and even North Korea, as well as for Islam, since, after all, that religion has many adherents among those who profess the aforementioned hatreds.

A pro-Russian speech that demonizes opposition to communism

A few months ago I talked here about one of those specimens, Herqles, dissecting his propaganda in favor of Russia, communist China, and even North Korea. Today I'm going to talk about another one: Jasiel Paris, a political scientist from Lugo who seems committed to showing us just how detached a person can be from reality and live in a parallel world. In 2023, this guy wrote an article on El Viejo Topo—a far-left website—about "NATO's Nazis" in which, during the height of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, he aligned himself with Russian propaganda that portrays Ukraine and its allies as Nazi. Among other things, he said that Nazi-fascism is "something that is reincarnated today in the US and its attempt to expand NATO directly into the heart of Russia."

The article is an example of the level of delusion to which propaganda can descend. For example, he claimed that behind the anti-communism of NATO and present-day Ukraine "lies, simply and plainly, hatred of Russia and its History." The fact that NATO was born as a defensive alliance of democratic countries against the communist threat in Europe (Moscow filled Eastern Europe with dictatorships that were puppets of the USSR) or that Ukraine suffered a horrific genocide, the Holodomor, at the hands of the USSR, is something that Jasiel Paris overlooked.

Are the Islamist terrorists of Hamas moderates?

On January 27, 2024, that same guy wrote another infamous article in El Viejo Topo, this time about Hamas and ISIS. In it, Jasiel claimed that Hamas "is a force that has accepted the democratic process and the modern framework of national sovereignty". He also said that "Hamas has strong electoral support in Gaza". Curious claims, considering that at that time, elections hadn't been held in Gaza, which was controlled by Hamas, for 18 years. Hamas seized power in Gaza in 2007 through a violent coup. A few months before that article was published, that criminal group had launched the worst attack suffered by Israel in its entire history, making its idea of respect for national sovereignty clear.

Mr. Paris also claimed that "while ISIS has been characterized by a particularly aberrant interpretation of Sharia (rejected by the majority of Islamic clerics), Hamas has carried out a relatively moderate application of it". One has to wonder what this man's idea of moderation is. Hamas imposed the Islamic veil on the women of Gaza and provoked an exodus of Christians from that territory (there were 1,300 when it came to power and today there are fewer than 500). The left-wing establishment applies the same propaganda to the Middle East as it does to Ukraine, and with the same goal: to sell a false reality to favor geopolitical actors opposed to the West.

He accuses Vox of wanting to bring down the PSOE government and then tries to sell us a PSOE-Vox pact

That's the same strategy behind the articles Jasiel Paris is writing against Vox in The Objective. On August 9, a few days after the Moroccan migrant invasion of Ceuta, Paris claimed that "Vox is more dangerous for Spain than Morocco." The analysis would be comical if it weren't for the serious events that occurred. For example, Jasiel Paris accused Vox of seeing "potential rapists" among "the huge line of underage kids," as he described the Moroccans—mostly young men of military age—who stormed the border on July 30. One week later, 15 rapes had already been recorded at the hands of these immigrants.

In the same article, Mr. Paris said this about Vox: "They blame Sánchez's PSOE as the architect of the crisis, diverting attention from Morocco and its 'godfathers,' the US and Israel, who share with Vox the objective of bringing down Sánchez's government." It's amusing to read this now, because yesterday Jasiel Paris published another article titled: "The PSOE-Vox pact to destroy Ceuta." It would be good if this gentleman clarified: Vox blames the PSOE for the assault on Ceuta and has the "objective of bringing down Sánchez's government," and a week later he wants to convince us of a pact between the PSOE and Vox? Isn't he ashamed of making a fool of himself like this?

The ridiculous attempt to equate Ceuta with Palestine

Furthermore, in his article yesterday, Mr. Paris also states: "this comparison of Ceuta with Israel as 'threatened territories' and of Morocco with Palestine as 'Islamist invaders' makes no sense whatsoever: rather, Ceuta is like Palestine (a sovereign territory illegitimately claimed by an invading power) and Morocco is like Israel". Of course, this must be true in the parallel world in which this gentleman lives. The Hebrew people have inhabited the current territory of Israel for some 3,000 years. The current State of Israel was established in 1948 by the UN, which divided the former British Mandate of Palestine into two states (one Jewish and one Arab). The Arab countries rejected participation and attacked Israel as soon as it declared its independence.

This policy of aggression became cyclical for the people of Israel, as did the defeats of Arab countries in each aggression. The most recent aggression suffered by Israel on October 7, 2023, came from a Palestinian territory, Gaza, which was completely abandoned by Israel in 2006, even withdrawing the entire Jewish population residing there. And now Mr. Paris comes along trying to convince us that the invaders are the Israelis. Historical reality is much more stubborn than the left-wing propaganda, much to the misfortune of the political scientist from Lugo. No terrorist attack has been launched from Ceuta against Morocco, like the one Hamas launched from Gaza against Israel in 2023. It is Ceuta that is being attacked.

Spain and Israel are sovereign countries that defend their sovereign territories against attacks from Arab Muslim countries, Morocco in one case and Gaza in the other. Both Spain and Israel are democratic and Western countries, and those who harass them intend to subject part or all of these countries to Islam, which is the official religion of Morocco and Gaza. The rest is just the stories of left-wing activists who are always performing a narrative juggling to make us believe that the bad guys are actually the good guys, which is the only thing one can expect from those who have created an ideological hodgepodge of communism and fascism.
