Very well preserved fortifications from the Spanish Civil War

The bunkers of Clot de Galvany, in Elche, and a house with a very macabre decoration

Spain is a country with abundant natural resources, with 16 national parks and numerous regional and local natural parks.

One of the local nature parks is Clot de Galvany, in Elche (Alicante), a natural space managed by a municipal company. In addition to nature, this place may be interesting for fans of exploring military fortifications, since there are preserved (in very good condition, by the way) several bunkers from the Spanish Civil War, which according to the official website of this natural site, were intended for anti-aircraft surveillance. There are four bunkers in total, as well as some trenches.

This Tuesday, the YouTube channel El inquieto naturaleza (to which I recommend you subscribe if you are interested in these issues) published an interesting video touring this natural area and the aforementioned bunkers. In addition, the video includes a visit to an abandoned house with caves inside and which also has a ceiling with macabre decoration (I would not dream of visiting such a place at night). In the final part of the video, its author meets up with the friends of Aventuras Entresierras at at the C-50 anti-aircraft artillery battery of Atalayón, in Cartagena: (the video is in Spanish, you can activate automatic English subtitles in the bottom bar of the player):

You can see here some screenshots from this video, as a preview. We start with one of the bunkers in Clot de Galvany. The construction of these defences was carried out by the Republican side, in anticipation of a possible amphibious operation by forces from the National side.

Another of the bunkers at Clot de Galvany. As you can see, the construction of these defences was remarkable, compared to other rather improvised positions of this type elsewhere in Spain.

The macabre house I refer to in the title. You can see it in more detail in the video, whose author has not revealed its location.
