A beautiful tour through an area of Andalusia that has beautiful landscapes

A route between Malaga and the Sierra de Cazorla, through a bunker and the Cerezuelo River vault

Andalusia, the region that occupies the southern part of Spain, is full of beautiful landscapes and historical sites that are worth visiting.

A tour of military ruins, a ghost town and beautiful places in Córdoba and Jaén
The old stone towns of the Sierra de los Filabres and the Calar Alto Observatory

One of those places is the Sierra de Cazorla, in the east of the province of Jaén, which since 1986 has been part of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park. It is an area with spectacular landscapes, as we can see in the latest video published on Monday by the YouTube channel El Inquieto Naturaleza (I take this opportunity to encourage you to subscribe), whose author you will know for being a regular participant in the videos of Aventuras Entresierras.

This route is done in a van and will be of particular interest to those who do tourism with camper vans, caravans and motorhomes. This route starts at the Mirador del Genal, in Algatocín, Málaga. Afterwards, the author travels by road to the Sierra de Cazorla, making a stop at the caravan area of Doña Mencía, in the province of Córdoba.

The video then shows us the Alamillo bunker, built by the national side at the end of 1938 in the town of Luque (Córdoba). The route concludes in the town of Cazorla, with a tour of the impressive Cerezuelo River vault and beautiful views of the Salvatierra Castle, also known as the Castle of the Five Corners, built in the 14th century (the video is in Spanish but has English subtitles, you can activate them in the bottom bar of the player):

You can see some images from the video here as a preview. It was not easy to choose them, as the video has very varied and interesting content. I'll start with the Genal viewpoint, with its splendid views:

Here we see the Alamillo bunker. It was used to monitor the road between Córdoba and Granada, according to Antonio García points out on his blog.

Here we see another part of the Alamillo bunker, with a concrete dome. In the video you can see the interior of this fortification.

Towards the end of the video, its author takes a tour of the vault of the Cerezuelo River, built in the 16th century to be able to erect the Church of Santa María de Cazorla.
