A Spanish military pilot has been able to fly in an Indian Hal Tejas fighter

An excellent video from the Indian Air Force highlighting the Spanish Eurofighters

This Thursday you were able to see in Defensa y Aviación an article about the deployment of Spanish Eurofighter fighter aircraft in India.

Spanish Eurofighters face Russian-origin Su-30s fighters on their first visit to India
The most distant deployment of the Spanish Air Force in Australia and New Zealand

This deployment is part of the Pacific Skies 24 round-the-world flight, organised by the air forces of Germany, Spain and France and also supported by the Royal Netherlands Air Force. As we saw two days ago, on this visit to India, the first by Spanish fighter aircraft, the protagonists of Pacific Skies will take part in the Tarang Shakti 24 exercise, the largest annual manoeuvres of the Indian Air Force, which this year includes the participation of ten other countries, including Spain.

In this exercise, which is carried out from the Sulur Air Base (the second largest air base in India, located in the south of the country) Spanish Eurofighters have the opportunity to fight with fighters of Russian origin, such as the Su-30MKI and MiG-29UPG of the Indian Air Force and the MiG-29K of the Indian Navy (as we see above these lines).

Spanish airmen and aircraft seem to have caused a good sensation in that Asian country, because today the Indian Air Force has published an excellent video of the first phase of this exercise, highlighting the Spanish Eurofighters, which concentrate a large part of the images of the beginning:

In this first phase of the Tarang Shakti 24 exercise, the participating countries are India, Germany, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, which has deployed Eurofighter fighters in Sulur. These British fighters recently participated in the Pitch Black exercise in Australia, where they also coincided with the participants in the Pacific Skies round-the-world flight.

Yesterday, the British Royal Air Force (RAF) published these two photos showing Spanish Eurofighters. Both were taken at Sulur Air Base. In the first photo we see the Spanish fighters together with German Eurofighters and French Rafales.

In this second photo we see a Spanish Eurofighter from the 14th Wing together with a Eurofighter from the RAF's XI Fighter Squadron in a hangar at Sulur Air Base.

The advantage of having a common weapons system with other allied countries, such as the Eurofighter, is that it facilitates interoperability in terms of maintenance, as the Air Force pointed out today. Here we see ground personnel from the German Luftwaffe together with Spanish personnel from Wing 11 next to a Spanish Eurofighter from Wing 14 in a hangar at Sulur Air Base.

In addition, the Spanish Air Force has participated in an exchange with the Indian Air Force. Yesterday, a Spanish pilot from Wing 11 had the opportunity to fly as co-pilot aboard a Hal Tejas fighter, one of the most modern fighter planes in that country, which is manufactured in India.
