The example of 'Counting Stars', by Santiago Abascal

At a time when the exercise of freedom is a rare commodity in the media, we must value those who defend truth and independence above all.

I am not discovering anything new if I say that today the media do not respond to the truth, objectivity and citizens' right to information. We have to read daily covers, articles and analyzes far from reality, of common sense and that, far from informing, try to impose a specific vision on society.

You can count on the fingers of one hand the truly free media that strive to explain the facts and do not imbue their information with ideology or partisan will. Never in the history of our country has there been such a distance between public opinion and published opinion.

VOX has suffered first the silencing and then the stigmatization of a good part of the national press, but this is unimportant when compared to the media treatment of other information: the fallacies around the great agreements signed by the PP and the PSOE; the concealment of nationality in cases of insecurity; the pointing out of those who reject the great scam of climate fanaticism; the manipulation around the different visions about the European Union; the attacks on parents who demand the right of their children to study in Spanish; or the offensive against all citizens who defend the right to life.

'Counting Stars' has been a reference space in all these issues. During the last twenty years many of us have had the opportunity to inform ourselves through this place of freedom, truth and independence. Always going against the current, which requires a lot of courage and courage, this blog has allowed millions of Spaniards to approach national and international reality from a very different point of view than usual.

In its description, Counting Stars is defined as a place to defend the right to life, freedom, human dignity and to talk about many other things. Twenty years later I can affirm that she has achieved it. He has defended life, he has raised the flag of freedom, he has protected human dignity and he has managed to put on the table debates about which the major media have always ignored.

I hope this blog celebrates twenty more years because its function is essential to defend itself against the ideological roller of those who seek to destroy each and every one of the pillars of our society.
