The crazy hoax from El Plural, shared by the PSOE, to attack Judge Peinado

Today we have a new example of what the Socialist Party (PSOE) considers true media, compared to what that party qualifies as "pseudomedia."

The Spanish Socialist Party shares a hoax to attack the right of association of abused men

El Plural's hoax to discredit Judge Peinado

This morning, the digital newspaper El Plural, a medium very close to the PSOE, published a ridiculous news item with this headline: "The judge Peinado appears with two different DNI s as the owner of several properties." This is yet another episode of the smear campaign launched by that media against the judge handling the case of Begoña Gómez, Sánchez's wife.

El Plural thus exposes the ridiculous hoax published this morning: "Judge Juan Carlos Peinado, in charge of investigating Pedro Sánchez's wife, Begoña Gómez, allegedly used two National Identity Documents (DNI) with the same name and different number to acquire his large assets as stated in the official documentation of the Property Registry to which ElPlural.com has had access."

The Plural attributes to that judge different properties of two different people

That newspaper lists a series of different properties that appear when requesting information about Juan Carlos Peinado Gómez in the Property Registry. A Property Registry Official has answered that hoax pointing out what happens if Searches are made in the file of that Registry only with first and last name: "If I search for JOSE GARCIA GONZALEZ WITHOUT NIF, the system returns ALL THE OWNERSHIPS registered in ALL OF SPAIN in the name of people named JOSE GARCIA GONZALEZ with ALL possible NIFs and even without them."

This officer points out the obvious in relation to the news from El Plural: "There is another person named JUAN CARLOS PEINADO GARCIA with a different NIF that has his ownership registered. That is, IN NO case is he can say that ONE SAME PERSON has registered ownerships with DIFFERENT NIFs." Finally, this official qualifies the El Plural hoax as follows: "It is a legal, ethical and professional journalistic aberration. It is not knowing. how the Property Registry works or.... not wanting to know."

The PSOE and La Sexta help spread this hoax

Demonstrating how far the lack of scruples of that party can go, this morning the PSOE of Madrid has spread this news, stating: "He is the judge who has summoned Begoña Gómez to declare as under investigation. Nothing more to add."

Furthermore, Antonio García Ferreras' program on La Sexta, a channel very close to the PSOE, is has echoed the hoax, in an absurd conversation with the director of El Plural in which both were not able to realize the obvious fact: they are two different people.

El Plural has dedicated up to four news items to that hoax

Trying to stretch that crazy hoax as much as possible, today El Plural has dedicated up to four news items on its front page to this issue. None of the four raised the possibility that they were two different people, and the objections raised by the aforementioned Property Registry Official were not included either. They are making it very easy for Judge Peinado to file a complaint against that media for publishing false news about him to discredit him.

The Plural raises the possibility that the judge is "a secret agent"

Incidentally, in one of those news items the Plural proposes "three possible explanations" for there being two DNIs with an identical name. The first is that Judge Peinado "is a secret agent or an infiltrator like those in movies or detective novels", the second is "an error by the Property Registry" and the third "that someone in the Ministry of the Interior, at a given moment and for unknown reasons, decided to give special treatment to Judge Peinado". The Plural does not even consider that there could be two Spaniards with the same name, which is what happens in this case.

That medium has already been condemned for publishing false news about Francisco José Alcaraz

On Twitter both the thread published by El Plural and the one published by the PSOE of Madrid have been filled with comments criticizing this hoax and even some screenshots that They show a Linkedin account of the other Juan Carlos Peinado García whom El Plural has confused with the judge. Let us remember that in 2012 El Plural was already condemned by the Supreme Court for publishing a false news story about Francisco José Alcaraz when he was president of the Association of Victims of Terrorism. That is what the PSOE considers a serious and truthful medium.
